Are my pet's medications safe together?

The Drug Interaction Checker screens your pet's current medications against known veterinary drug interactions. Add up to six medications, and the checker produces a severity score with a pharmacist callout. Every prescription is verified by a licensed PharmD before shipping — and the same screening runs on every order.

No medications added yet. Add at least two to screen interactions.
Interaction Check Ready
Add two or more medications above. The checker will screen for known veterinary drug interactions and produce a severity score.
Every order is screened independently. Before your prescription ships, a licensed PharmD reviews the order against any medications already on file for your pet. If an interaction is detected, the pharmacist contacts you and your prescribing vet before releasing the order. Call 1-800-738-6337 to speak with a pharmacist.

Verification Process

How does a Rural King Pet Pharmacy prescription get verified?

Every prescription passes through five verification stages before it ships: prescription intake, PharmD review, drug interaction screening, final approval, and packing. The whole process typically takes 1–3 hours during business hours. If a pharmacist needs to contact your vet or you, it may take up to 1 business day.

01
Prescription intake Order creates a prescription record in the OMS. The record is routed to the Vet Portal queue.
02
PharmD review A licensed pharmacist verifies the prescription against your pet's profile, dosing, and weight.
03
Drug interaction screening The prescription is screened against every medication already on file for your pet. Flags trigger a pharmacist callout.
04
Approval & event log The order status flips to Approved in the OMS. Every state change is written to the event log with a timestamp.
05
Packing & shipment Packing slip printed from PIM data. Order moves to fulfillment. Same-day shipment if verified by 4 PM ET.
